Sherry D. Hill is an author, artist, motivational speaker, hurricane survivor, former coordinator of the South Central Regional of the Professional Football Players Mothers Association a.k.a. NFLMOM, and the recipient of Newsome's Award Honor in 2016, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Journey to Mt Freedom is based on a past and present conversation my son during his childhood years and after. With my son we took what we call an imagination trip in the early 90’s, which we had fun doing it. My last conversation with my son was a profound one, and so touching that it prompted me to write this book.

This book is about raising a legacy. It is my hope that with this book, I am able to introduce readers to my son, Marquise Hill, a born athlete and an incredible human being, who tragically passed away in May 2007. I would like everybody to feel as if they had known him in his lifetime, in a way as familiar and beloved as a well-worn, comfortable house shoe. I give my thanks to the wonderful people and organizations who have, in different ways, inspired my son and helped him fulfill his purpose and dreams and honored him after his passing.

Sherry, I just Finished reading your book, and if 10 stars was the top to rate it, mine would be a 10+. I actually had to put the book down three times before I could finish it. During the course of my reading the book I felt continuous lumps in my throat, not to count the tears I felt streaming down my cheek, nor the anger I felt at times, because I’m a mother too. I wanted to hop on a plane go all the way to Orleans just to give you and big hug and to let you know that god is still on throne. God is still in control.
On the radio show this afternoon we had the opportunity to speak with Sherry Hill, mother of the late Marquise Hill and author of "From the Cradle to the Bowl: The Marquise Hill Story". I had the opportunity to read the book and I'd recommend this to anybody. It was obviously a labor of love and I know it was tough for her to write this book. She told us today that she had started the book 4 days before he died and actually continued a few days after he passed. She is a class woman and this is a great book for a Tiger fan or anyone.
When I first purchased her novel at one of our pre-season conferences, I planned to just see what it was about. I could NOT put it down. I literally read passages during every break I got. I finished it on my journey back to Memphis. My congratulations to Sherry Hill, love ya girl! P.S. Ms. Lisa, you ROCK!
Hello Ms Hill. I really enjoy reading your book the The Marquise Hill Story. By reading your book has made me look at life different for the future. Never take life for granted. Love ya.
Hello Ms. Hill. You did it again. I have both your books The Marquise Hill Story and Journey to mt Freedom. I was not disappointed of your work. Keep up the great work.
